Paalvi... is here!!!

You all have been very supportive during the release of my first pattern "Gardens of India". A big thank you to all those who have bought it!

Here's my second pattern... Its called Paalvi... And like I said - it means tender leaves!

Why did I name it so???

1. The fabric "Fresh Flowers" by Deb Stain for Moda inspired me to name it so!

2. It happens to be the name of my only neice. I was thinking of her the moment I started making this pattern. And it just wouldn't go out of my head. I decided that it HAS to be the name of this pattern!

3. This quilt will be raffled off to help Japan in the Modern Relief Japan. Paalvi symbolizes Spring which means a new beginning! What other name could be perfect for it???

Modern Relief has decided once again to bring the modern sewing community together in the name of fundraising for the relief efforts in the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We will again be raffling off tickets for a chance to win over 50 gorgeous handmade quilts that have been generously donated by members of our community.

Come back on April 4th, 2011 for the kick-off event and to see some of the beautiful quilts up for raffle. This round we will be rolling out new quilts every week so you'll have to come back often to see the new quilts you could win! Every $10.00 donated will get you one ticket for the quilt raffle. Money raised will be given to the Japan recovery efforts through Mercy Corps

The pattern will be now available in my Etsy shop. You can directly click on the link above to go to my shop... It will soon be available It is now available here at Stitches N' Giggles fabric store as a quilt kit.!

Meanwhile, I am giving away one copy of my pattern. To win, leave a comment here. Tell me what you like about this quilt and its name.

I'll draw the winners along with the winners of the Gardens of India giveaway on 4th April!

Have fun!!!

Cheers!!!

  7. the pattern is gorgeous! I love the 'windows' you created to showcase the larger flower prints. I always hesitate to buy fabric with large prints like that because I never know how to showcase them.. they don't deserve to be chopped up! And the colors are so rich and bold too.. love what you did here!
