FQS Bella Parade Post # 98:08 AM
I am out of town, and this post is brought to you either by Blogger Auto Publish or my little brother - Chaitanya!
So whats the color of the day today???
COLOR OF THE DAY
My www favorite, Wikipedia says "Peach is a color that combines pink and orange colors. This color is named for the pale color of the peach fruit. Like the color apricot, the color called peach is paler than most actual peach fruits and seems to have been formulated (like the color apricot) primarily to create a pastel palette of colors for interior design. Peach can also be described as pale orange.
The first recorded use of peach as a color name in English was in 1588."
This is one of the most feminine color! I personally find this more feminine than pink!
The quilts made from this color be they plain
have that girly quality in them!
There are numerous possible combinations
She says, "To be honest, peach is not a color I have really worked with, so I looked upon this exercise as a bit of a challenge. What I like about this particular peach is that it is a fairly low intensity, creamy orange and that means it can be fairly versatile. It can be paired with other similarly muted colors like a hazy blue or contrasted with a deep cranberry or even as a somewhat neutral base for brights. And with a name like Peach, how could I not also choose a Cream?! A classic color (and flavor) combination!"
Lets have a look at her suggestions...
Awesome choices Taya!
