Todays post is going to make a lot of you green...

yes, jealous!

Want to know why???

About 10 days back I ordered something from Fat Quarter Shop...

And its all here today!!!

First up :

A pattern...

I rarely use patterns... I mean I do use them but many a times I tweak them...

Bu I'm sure I wont do that to this one... Its just so easy!

And not just the pattern, I ordered all the paraphernalia to go with it...

The ruler...

As well as the fabric!!!

And some more fabric

Kona Solids Poseidon FQ Bundle

Some more Kona - I'm really serious about giving the Paintbox Quilt another chance...

I ordered the Kona Bright Jelly Roll

I'm not done yet, people...

I also ordered this beautiful fabric... I ordered 6 yards of it!!!

It will become a quilt backing some day... Or maybe curtains for my living room!

Who knows...

Then some assorted half yards...

Four from Oh Deer!

And some more fabric for my nephew's quilt...

He's soon becoming a teen! And did not want a 'baby' quilt! So a big boy quilt it will be with his favorite : Cars!

I'm working on the quilt already and sections are ready to be pieced tomorrow! Hopefully I'll be able to show you guys a completed quilt by the weekend!

I'm working on another super-secret project! It is for some of the most favorite people in my life for a very special occasion!

It is going to test my limits in quilting!
But I'm amazed at the help that the online quilting community provides!
Thanks a lot Sandra (you know which one you are)!

Just a hint : 13000 (yes, it is thirteen thousand, I did not make a mistake with a zero) 1" squares!!!
50" x 65"

Will leave you wondering at that...

Cheers!!!

  1. Wow, Shruti!! I am jealous, but also happy for you! So much great stuff!
I love the "Oh Deer"!! I don't know what I will do with it yet, but I bought a bit. And that red and white is lovely as well.
    Have fun!

  2. You certainly got a nice delivery - great fabrics and I love that Hex and More ruler. I got one last week and I'm very happy with it. I cut some big (8") hexagons for a quilt on my design wall and it was so easy.
