Did you know about the "Next" button?

If you read blogs in Google Reader like me, you really miss out the entire feel of reading a blog in its original setting. So when I came across this post on Mandy's blog, I knew I had to try it out!

Did you know that Google Reader has a setting that lets you read all those blogs by visiting their pages?

Here's how...

Open 'Google Reader'

Go to 'Settings'

Click on 'Reader Settings'

Click on 'Goodies'

Here's what you see

Now just drag that "Next" to your bookmarks area and you're done!

This is what the button looks like!

Now when you like to read the blogs you're subscribed to, open a new window, click on Next and it will take you to the blog page to view the post!!!

Advantages : It will count as a page visit - good to boost the traffic to your favorite blog. It will also make leaving comments so easy - I realized I was commenting on other posts much more now that I was already on their home page!

Go ahead!

Have fun!

  1. wow, that is totally amazing! I love google reader, but hate having to always open pages to comment. This makes it so easy to read everything!

Thank you for your comments... I try to reply to all of them personally, but sometimes life is just too fast to do that... But I love hearing from you...
