Hiya all!!!
Yup, yesterday's color was Charcoal!!!
Ready for today's color?
1. I am a genus of flowering plants in the iris family comprising 90 species of perennials growing from corms.
2. The name is derived from the Greek κρόκος. This, in turn, is probably a loan word from a Semitic language, related to Hebrew כרכום, Aramaic ܟܟܘܪܟܟܡܡܐ, and Arabic كركم k, which mean "saffron" , "saffron yellow" or turmeric. Interesting how languages travel, grow & blend! Thanks again wikipedia!

I am not a huge fan of the lavender-purple-violet clan and my stash seriously lacks them. So pairing these was quite fun!
First up, the monochromatic scheme
Pairing it with Freesia and Terrain Iris to make this cool monochromatic scheme
For the complementary scheme, I paired it with Sunshine!

For the complementary scheme, I paired it with Sunshine!
To be a little creative, I went with a subdued theme by using it with Sunshine (again! I cannot get enough of it) and Aqua

Using it with prints!
I would use this more with children's prints or in monochromatic schemes. But that shouldn't restrict you from using it in a way you want!
Here are some of my favorites to go with this color

This is Crocus. I love the flower but find the color hard to work with. I would pair it with Ashbury Heights to bring some other colors.
